He grew up in a Christian family. Intrigued by the music he heard from church, he started to teach himself piano from a very young age. He did not lose this enthusiasm for music after stepping into adulthood. He decided to come to YAMAHA to learn piano tuning and became a piano tuner there. He never professionally learned piano playing, however, he mastered playing hymns, pop songs, and Japanese traditional music all through self-teaching, and often plays for retirement homes and churches.
