They followed 20-21 with another historic Phoenix Sun season, only to confirm with Chris Paul, this team could definitely win a championship, and all season they were the front runners as they dominated the NBA, winning the most games and 11 games ahead of the eastern conference champion Miami Heat. They won 64 games with Chris Paul leading the league in assist, finishing 4th in MVP voting and Devin Booker 25 coming off a career year in scoring, also ranked top 10 in MVP finishing 7th.
