GET HYPED AND GET YOUR GOOD HEADPHONES READY, THIS PROJECT IS FINALLY DONE! This has gotta be the most time I've ever spent on a project... Idea started back in May/June when I accidentally discovered a trick to create the black/white effect from ingame video (connecting keyed alpha to visual output). Put out the one silly teaser gif... 7 months ago wow. Then spent a ton of time on the audio portion, learning in Reaper and building up a ton of DAW skills. Super proud of what I learned there, lots of new-to-me skills which got used towards a lot of my more recent videos. After nailing the song... shelved the project for almost half a year for various reasons. Finally picked it back up a few weeks ago and really refocused, you might actually notice in the video where the style changes from old to new editing (around 1:15). Started using the og Bad Apple video as a ref and that helped a TON to get ideas. To see this video side-by-side with the ref visible, I might put a video here: (link tbd) ALL melody sounds made out of only 3 noodlefly wav files, including the bass and distorted bits.
