Faceworm’s Nest Instance After quite a long development process, we have finally released the Faceworm’s Nest Instance. The instance is part of the Heroes’ Trails saga and takes place after the Sara’s Memory instance. While this is an official instance, we have made a large variety of balance changes and QoL updates. Read below for all the details! As with any new feature, things might change if deemed necessary. Things might get a little better, things might get a little worse, or they might not change at all. Thanks for your understanding! Quick Overview You can start the instance by talking to the Magic Scholar in the Dimensional Gap. Just like with Sara’s Memories you can find a similar Leaderboard with the top performing parties (or solo players?!). To enter the instance, you need to be at least Level 80. Every week, you can do 7 runs, just like with Sara’s Memories. As usual, you can choose to play Unrestricted (up to 5 party members) or Vanilla (up to 8 party members). When choosing to do the latter, droprates are increased by 25% and Bragi will be unadjusted. While the instance plays more or less like it does officially, the internals have been seriously overhauled. All mob stats and skills have been rebalanced for a mid to end-game Pre-Renewal environment. While it may not be the most difficult instance out there, it is definitely not easy, so be prepared! The same thing goes for monster drops and rewards. While officially, completion time plays a big part in this instance, this is not the case in our version. Furthermore, many drops have been overhauled and in particular all the important drops such as Weapons, Cards and the much sought-after Giant Snake Skin (+enchants) have been made from scratch. Monster HP values as well as special (NPC) skills have been modified to be more difficult for bigger parties, so teamwork is of great importance! We will leave the rest of the instance for you to figure out, but please read on to learn more about the newly-added weapons, cards and garment enchants. Sidequests Timeless Item Quests can be completed for additional EXP. Find several NPCs in Payon: The Owner of the Old Ring – Recover a lost ring to honor an old love. The Memory of the Old Photo Album – Help Sergio rediscover his lost past. Dol-Seoi’s Sorrow – Bring closure to a former servant’s regret. Keaton’s Bracelet – Aid a restless spirit in reclaiming a lost keepsake. Giant Snake Skin The main attraction of this instance will be the Giant Snake Skin. This item in particular has a combo with the Temporal Boots that will bring the two of them to the next level! It comes in both a non-slotted and slotted version. The final Reward Chest will only contain the slotted version, whereas the Reward Chest when killing Dark Faceworms may contain one or the other. They may even contain a certain (over)refine level if you’re very lucky!
