With over 80% of runners experiencing overuse injuries we wanted to design a training program to reduce the risk of injury while running. We collaborated with Dr. Emily Splichal, Podiatrist and Human Movement Specialist, and focused on fascial tensioning and proprioceptive training to help connect your body from the ground up. Dr. Emily invented the Naboso Mat to stimulate the small nerve proprioceptors in the bottom of the feet. These nerves help to control dynamic posture, joint position sense, and the transfer of impact forces experienced by runners. The Naboso Mat is used with the Mobility Sticks and a video series featuring custom barefoot exercises to prepare your body for the unique demands of running.
