This tutorial shows how to build a web slinger or spiderweb machine to use on props for movies, theater or simply for Halloween to impress your visitors. Parts for this build are available at most hardware stores or airconditioning suppliers. No special tools are needed. Building time is much less than an hour! The effect looks very realistic, the webs act like real spider or cob webs even when ripped off. What you need: 1x 8-10 inch metal fanblade (found in airconditioning units) 1x 1/4 inch threaded rod (about 5 inches long 2x 1/4 inch washers 1x 1/4 inch wingnut 2x 1/4 inch locknut 1 jar of rubber cement 1 can with lid that can be opend even the rubber cement has dried out some acetone for cleaning Warning: This machine can be dangerous when handled the wrong way! The spider webs may stick to props and clothes!
