Bersih's Thomas Fann to be questioned over 'Sheraton Move' protest

Bersih chairperson Thomas Fann will be quizzed tomorrow over the NGO's call for the public to attend a protest called at Dataran Merdeka on February 29. In a statement today, the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) said that Fann is being investigated under Section 9(5) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012. They said the investigation is in relation to a posting on their official Facebook page on 29th February 2020, urging citizens unhappy with the betrayal of the people’s mandate brought about by the “Sheraton Move” to attend a protest called “Turun Ke Jalan: Demokrasi Mati” at Dataran Merdeka that night.
