RPSI 85 'Merlin' & 131 on the 'Steam Dreams' tour @ Dublin Heuston & Killiney Bay

From Thursday the 4th of May - Thursday the 11th of May 2023, the railway preservation society of Ireland hosted the UK based 'Steam Dreams' on a week long trip across the West, Southwest, South, Southeast & East of Ireland. They visited destinations such as Dublin, Athlone, Galway, Limerick, Kerry, Cork, Waterford & Wexford. The steam locomotives that were used for the trip were 85 'Merlin' & the new to Ireland Q class 131 which made it's rounds around the island for the first time in over 60 years! In the first clip we see 85 'Merlin' departing a rare departure from Dublin Heuston station while working the Dublin - Galway leg of the 'Steam Dreams' tour. This was also the first time since the 9th of May 2009 that a steam time was seen in Heuston Station. A week later we see Q Class steam loco number 131 traversing around Killiney Bay while working the last leg of the 'Steam Dreams' tour from Rosslare Strand - Dublin Connolly. This was also 131's first time hauling a passenger train on the Rosslare line in over 60 years! Please feel free to comment, like & subscribe!
