A long time ago, I happened to have gotten a huge lot of home computers at a local flea market. I had decided to Donate one of them (the Amiga1000) to Jan Beta, you can find that video here (2 parts): • Amiga 1000 Restoration | Part 1 The other machines in the lot, included this Commodore 128. The hardware works perfectly fine, however the shell was in a bit of a bad state, had started yellowing real bad. After being told about an alternative technique to the usual retrobrighting, I decided to restore this one! A little detail on why retrobrighting is a good idea, which I missed in the video; Besides restoring the original colour, doing a retrobright has the added benefit of restoring the flexibility and strength of plastic pieces. Less likely to chip off around the edges and screwposts. Important there to also ensure you retrobright the posts for that reason (if they have yellowed).
