On October 6th, 2024, Bridging Nations marked its second milestone at the prestigious French Arts-Sciences-Lettres (ASL) Grand Palmarès Ceremony in Paris. For the first time in the Academy’s history, 15 Omani artists were honored, highlighting Oman’s growing role in global cultural diplomacy. The event welcomed over 700 guests, including 250 artists from around the world, who gathered to celebrate excellence in the arts, sciences, and literature. Bringing Cultures Together Through Art Madeleine ImKey, founder of Bridging Nations, curated a diverse group of artists from Oman, Switzerland, the UAE, and Egypt. Her efforts were recognized as a testament to her ability to build bridges across cultures through art. Two artists were awarded the prestigious platinum medals. Madam Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, a philanthropist and key supporter of Bridging Nations, proudly led the Omani delegation. She praised the initiative for its commitment to empowering women and young talents with special needs, values she holds dear. A Weekend of Intercultural Exchange The weekend’s festivities began with a special evening at the Oman Embassy in Paris, hosted by His Excellency Ahmed Bin Mohamed Bin Nasser Alaraimi. The event celebrated Omani culture, with notable figures such as Fernand Girard, President of the ASL Academy, expressing admiration for the cultural partnership. Opera singer Laura Ansaldi dedicated a memorable performance to the people of Oman, His late Majesty Sultan Qaboos, and women who represent effortless strength in society. A Grand Finale at the Intercontinental Le Grand The Grand Palmarès Ceremony took place in the opulent Salon Opéra at the Intercontinental Hotel Le Grand, a venue with rich historical significance. The evening featured enchanting performances by Laura Ansaldi and renowned pianist Alexey Botvinov, who both received platinum medals. Looking Ahead: Bridging Nations and Bait Al Zubair In 2025, Bridging Nations will continue to expand through a partnership with Bait Al Zubair. This collaboration will nurture young Omani talents, including artists with special needs, further promoting intercultural dialogue and artistic collaboration on the global stage. #BridgingNations #Academy #CulturalDiplomacy #Oman #Interculturality #Inclusivity #Paris #OmanEmbassy #MadeleineImKey #LujainaMohsinDarwish #OperaPerformance #LauraAnsaldi #AlexeyBotvinov #BaitAlZubair #Oman #France #UNESCO #Art #CulturalExchange
