पंजाब सरकार ने एक कड़ा कदम उठाते हुए एचडीएफसी बैंक को डीएम्पैनल कर सभी संबंध तोड़ लिए हैं। राज्य सरकार ने यह कदम उस समय उठाया है जब पिछले दिनों सभी विभाग को अलॉट किए गए पैसे वापस देने को कहा गया। माना जा रहा है कि एचडीएफसी बैंक ने समय पर यह राशि ट्रांसफर नहीं की जिससे सरकार के वित्तीय लेनदेन प्रभावित हुए। इस बात का सख्त नोटिस लेते हुए वित्त विभाग ने सभी विभागों के सचिवों, डायरेक्टरों, पंचायतों, डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी व बोर्ड कार्पोरेशनों को पत्र लिखकर कहा है कि एचडीएफसी बैंक राज्य सरकार के समयबद्ध वित्तीय लेनदेन को पूरा करने के लिए भेजे जा रहे आदेशों का पालन करने में सहयोग नहीं कर रहा है। Taking a tough step, the Punjab government has de-panelled HDFC Bank and severed all ties with it.
