Hollywood actresses are famous, but audiences often forget there are women standing just a little ways behind the camera. Female filmmakers garner only minor fame. I hope to increase their place in the spotlight through the interviews in this video, where recent Grand Valley graduates speak to their filmmaking experiences and their hopes for the future. The goal of this documentary is to trigger post-viewing discussions about the “politics” of filmmaking in general – positive and also negative - and to encourage awareness to those thinking about to entering a production position.
