I have created this video to showcase how I traverse the new Gwangjin Coal Mine area added to Motor Town: Behind the Wheel in the 0.7.6 update which has just been released to the public test branch. Dumpy Gwangjin Coal Offroad Setup ========================= Radiator: Medium-Duty Large Size Radiator Intake: Long Intake Engine: Heavy-Duty 540HP Turbocharger: Stage 1 Transmission: 18 Speed Final Drive Ratio: 3.73 Centre LSD: 2 Way Clutch Pack LSD (100) Rear LSD: 2 Way Clutch Pack LSD (100) Brake Power: 200% Brake Pads: BX1 No Anti-Roll Bars Front Springs: 150% Rear Springs: 80% (both rear axles) Front Dampers: 150% Rear Dampers: 120% (both rear axles) Front Axle Ride Height: +10cm Mid and Rear Axle Ride Height: -10cm Wheel Spacers: 100mm Angle Kit: +5 Notes: This setup is made to traverse the treacherous terrain that can be found going into and out of the Gwangjin coal mine area. Doing this route with the Dumpy is rewarding, but also extremely challenging. You WILL NEED to use manual transmission and already have a lot of experience and skill as a driver to make it over some of the hills. The setup focuses on putting more weight over the rear wheels while lowering the rear end to maintain a lower centre of gravity while leaving lots of front suspension travel to keep your steering wheels on the ground as much as possible when you're going over all of the bumps and hills. Also, you may have a lot of trouble if your tires are worn more than 30%-50%. If you are having trouble getting over a hill, my general advice with this setup and gearing is: "when in doubt, 5H it out". Also, once you've loaded coal, if you get close to reaching the crest of a hill but can't quite make it over, apply the handbrake while still holding the normal brakes on, and then lower the gear to 2H or 3H and use the starter to finish getting over the hill.
