We began late at night in the Quadrangle Studio, equipped with three microphones, two music stands, and five pages of sheet music. We captured just two takes—the one you’ll hear on this CD is the second. After returning home to Canada, I added a few bass flute lines, harmonies on the C flute, and some special effects to capture the essence of Bohemian Rhapsody. I sincerely hope that Freddie Mercury is smiling from above at what I’ve done with his iconic song. Happy 50th anniversary, Queen!
