Faber-Castell Polychromos Vs Prismacolor Premier | Full Drawing of a Treasure Troll

In this video I do a full drawing, showing a faber-castell polychromos vs prismacolor premier. I start by using the Faber-Castell Polychromos on the first half of the treasure troll drawing. I layer and blend the colouring pencils together to create the fuzzy troll hair. After the hair I then build up the skin tones using 4 different Faber-Castell Polychromos, layering, blending and burnishing them together. Once I'm happy with the Faber-Castell Polychromos I start working with the prismacolor premier pencils. They lay down so much quicker than the polychromos, so they make working so much quicker. The faber-castell polychromos are oil based, so the core of the pencil is much harder than the Prismacolor premier. the Prismacolor are waxed based, which is why they blend so much quicker.However, because the Prismacolor pencils are so soft, they tend to break quite easily, which can be quite frustration.
