The amazing thing is there’s good looking pepper this side where trees are! It’s not because of the trees, the other is in Banana plantation and bananas have those dried leaves that are dangerous for pepper That side also has that avocado tree These plants here were planted the same time as the ones we saw the other side I get to skip some pants when the farmer weeding is not done, and I only plant parts which are weeded After weeding through, the plants were heavily mulched to avoid weeds from growing back so fast That gentleman weeding now was contracted to weed all that part including the trenches and ditches He is the one who weeds majority of the garden, where we have planted and where we are yet to plant He has been good so far, I pray he continues to be like that This is where our portion passes, from that side all the way up How long will harvesting take? I will be harvesting until next year I planted in July, so I may harvest up to about May or June I have some which are diseased, so I’ll first treat those, then I can start harvesting in November Or next month, as you can see the crops area already producing ready fruits The problem is that disease, brought by the banana leaves, and I can’t remove the banana plantations because the owner of the place wants them here Now you see people which is not planted within the banana plantations looks so good That continues to show you that, pepper plants are best planted alone not with other crops Planting it with other crops will give you more work and more diseases which will attack your pepper If you want to benefit well from pepper, plant it on it’s own, let the weeding be done at once not in bits Care for it and you will see happy fruits, if they are ready when the market is good then you will benefit the most The good thing about pepper is you sell in bad pricing times and also in good pricing times. You go through all the seasons So you can encourage yourself as you grow that when losses come, they are not permanent The market abroad may just be low for that season You see, pepper is majorly grown for export. It not highly consumed locally That is our garden, the work is a lot but you have to give yourself too it The place which used to have fish, did you surrender it and won’t use it at all?
