Hello, etrailer neighbors. I'm Steven. Today we're looking at the RodBuckle Retractable Fishing Rod Tie-Down Strap with the Concealed Mounting Kit. Now, this will hold down and secure your fishing rods in place on top of your boat deck. It's gonna extend over the poles and hook into the included deck mounting plate to hold the rods into place. And, as you can see, it's a self-retracting function. It's gonna let you grab your fishing rods really quickly. Again, on the backside of this, there's that round knob that will meet up to this piece once it's installed on your deck of your boat, and simply lock into place and hold 'em securely. (metal clanging) Very simple design, very simple feature. The seatbelt quality, polyester webbing on here has got a nice PVC coating. You can see that. It's gonna keep fish hooks from catching and everything. It's very tough. These hooks will just slide over that. They should not be able to puncture that and get in there very easily. Now, with the included mounting kit here, it's gonna conceal most of the rod buckle behind the wall of your boat's gunnel. So, again, you will have to cut a hole in the gunnel, get this guy mounted out of the way, and then the only thing would be the strap coming out of this part here. And this part here would be flush-mounted onto the gunnel of your boat. And this is all you would see other than the other piece there to attach it to whatever it's extended out. Now, this strap is a 2" x 24" strap, and it's in a nice one-year limited warranty. Now, you're gonna get all the mounting hardware and everything. This part here actually comes in two pieces. It's just the mechanism here and the pocket it sits in. Once you've got it mounted in place, it's not gonna go nowhere. It's gonna stay as one piece.
