Join us for a historic press conference announcing the launch of the first-ever Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood and Community Safety and the appointment of its Director — a longtime community leader and advocate dedicated to building safer, stronger neighborhoods. This new office will oversee the existing Community Violence Intervention (CVI) program, lead new crime prevention initiatives, and coordinate critical efforts within the Office of Neighborhood and Community Safety. Its work will include survivor advocacy, addressing domestic and intimate partner violence, and implementing conflict resolution and restorative practices across the community. The office will be partially funded through a major grant from the Hudson-Webber Foundation, reinforcing a strong partnership to advance public safety and community well-being. During the event, Mayor Sheffield will also sign her second Executive Order. Watch live as we take an important step forward in creating safer neighborhoods for everyone.Join us for a historic press conference announcing the launch of the first-ever Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood and Community Safety and the appointment of its Director — a longtime community leader and advocate dedicated to building safer, stronger neighborhoods.
