A shield which once protected many now only protects few. Life welcomes death; death's hunger is insatiable. The daylight gives way to rest, but in rest dreams are found. One dreams of their reality, of survival being the only choice they have despite the aches of the past. Another dreams of guilt, of a knowledge that every breath taken is one borrowed from those less fortunate. But moon will rise every night, illuminating the path two individuals will walk in order to make sense of unwillingly becoming martyrs. ------------------------------------------------------------------- My final Project for my Fall Semester at Columbia College Chicago!
