Thermae Yu: Ten Zaru Soba

For my last few hours in Tokyo, I had to find a way to kill time between when I checked out of my hotel and when I went to the station to catch the Narita Express. I found this great sento in Shinjuku called Termae Yu. Sentos are very common in Tokyo and they're usually small, neighborhood bath houses, Thermae Yu is a huge complex with several types of baths, including an onsen with water shipped in from Izu every day, floors offering massage, a restaurant, and two other floors I didn't even get to. Admission is 2800 yen, slightly more than double what I paid for Tenzan no Yu in Kyoto, but it's worth it. Great place to go to recover from jetlag or days of walking too much, or just relax. The massages were amazing and the food was outstanding. Best tempura I've ever had. Check it out when you're in Tokyo.
