Congratulations! You've discovered the Secret Animated Video from the 1990s! This is the pilot episode of Montgomery Thump and Timbuk Too. It was started in May 1993 and completed on September 10, 2001.  This is among the very first animated projects that utilized digital production at a time when the technology first became available for personal computers. The software was AXA which is no longer around, but it was among the first for PC's. I started on a 90 mhz Pentium with 16 megs of RAM and a 1 gig hard drive. This was a high-end system for the times. I single handedly animated the entire film. Towards the end in 1998 I launched my school The Animation Academy in Burbank California. That summer I had an internship program that was paid. I used several students to help with the last of the inbetweening. Many of them got their break into the industry because of their involvement with the project. The animation is hand drawn. The drawings were scanned and imported into the program. Camera and coloring are digital.  This video is a pioneer of modern digital animation production. My associates wanted to send the project overseas to get animated like a cheap TV cartoon. I held my ground and insisted that digital production was the way to go. This is the result. It was shown privately. The Academy got animation work for our students because of the video.  It has remained unpublished until now. I overcame many obstacles, hardships and challenges.
