The Massey Ferguson 510 combine harvester is one of the iconic harvesters from Massey Ferguson. It was produced between 1965 and 1971 in Kilmarnock, Scotland. It replaced the model 500 and features a sleek design. Most notable for it's yellow swirl on the rotating air intake. As with most MF combines, the driver is located to the left hand side, next to the engine. There are 2 saddle tanks for the grain. Thanks to their design it keeps the point of gravity very low on this machine. The 510 is powered by a 5,8 liter 6 cylinder Perkins engine that produces 104 HP. The threshing drum measures 114x56cm and it has 6 straw walkers. The grain tank has a capacity of 2.800L. Header widths of 10ft, 12ft and 14ft were available. This machine uses the smallest 3m (10ft) header. It is quick-de attach and the cutting height is controlled automatically. A hydrostatic transmission was available as an option. There was also the model 515 with a Multiflow seperation system behind the straw walkers. This machine might be showing it's age a bit, but it is still more than capable of putting in a days' work. It is seen working on a sheep farm in North Canterbury, New Zealand, during the 2026 barley harvest. A New Holland T6050 Delta is carting the crop to the storage bin. A classic Massey Ferguson 188 and Fiat 750 are also used. Help us reach 100K subscribers by hitting the like and subscribe button! More? Visit our website: https://www.agrifoto.nl.
