As temperatures continue to drop quickly, the aftermath of Hurricane Helene is proving to be more challenging in a few areas. Places are getting more slightly better each days but the road to recovery will take years, with rivers and creeks littered with debris and garbage, and hidden cars buried beneath massive piles of tree wreckage. In this video, we discuss the long-term effects, the struggles communities are facing, and the importance of supporting those who have lost their homes. We’re calling on anyone to continue to make donations and a specific request with like-new campers or tiny homes to help by bringing it to North Carolina or other areas in need. A Fire Department can store a few, but please message me on Instagram first to coordinate. If you can’t provide a camper, consider donating to USMA to help us purchase more. Every contribution counts as we work to rebuild stronger, more resilient communities This isn’t just about today—it’s about the long journey ahead. Local leadership, volunteers, and strong communities will be crucial as we rebuild, but immediate needs like shelter are urgent. Please do what you can to help these families before the winter sets in fully. In this video, I cover: • Environmental devastation: polluted waterways and the long-term impact on wildlife • Hidden dangers: buried vehicles and debris slowing recovery • Infrastructure challenges: damaged roads, bridges, and utilities • Economic impact: struggling businesses and financial strain on families • Emotional toll: survivors facing trauma and uncertainty • The importance of community and volunteers in the recovery effort • Lessons learned: the need for better preparedness, ham radios, alarms, and flood survival strategies ~What actually happened in Ashville If you can help by donating a like-new camper or contributing to recovery efforts, please message me on Instagram or donate to USMA so we can continue supporting those affected.
