As many as 100 unidentified people have also been booked. Video of the youth being tied and beaten up by a mob had been live-streamed on social media. The arrest took place hours after CM Charanjit Singh Channi's statement on Friday morning that sacrilege had been ruled out in the Kapurthala incident. He had said that the case was that of murder and an FIR on those charges would be filed. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
