Scuffle Between Teenager And Phoenix Police Officer PHOENIX, ARIZONA - Phoenix Police Department released body camera footage of an incident where a stolen car investigation lead to a scuffle between a teenager and a Phoenix police officer. On Monday, at approx. 4:30 p.m., someone called 911 and report a vehicle had been stolen. Phoenix police officers later located the stolen vehicle with four males inside at an apartment complex near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road. As the officers were arresting the men, a crowd began to gather and film the officers during the encounter. During that time, one of the men punched an officer in the face and attempted to grab the officer’s gun. A 13-year-old female bystander walked up to police several times and was told to stay back each time. The female also walked in front of the officers who was trying to put one of the men into the police car. At that time, one of the officers grabbed the female's arm to pull her back. The teenage female then swung and hit the female officer in the face and knocked off her body camera. The female officer then punched the teen in the face and took her to the ground where she was handcuffed. After the teenage female was evaluated for minor injuries, she was transported and booked into the Juvenile Correction Center and charged with assaulting an officer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This video is intended for educational and informational purposes and not to glorify violence.
