This includes: Forest Cover: 7,15,343 square kilometers (21.76%). Tree Cover: 1,12,014 square kilometers (3.41%). Increase Since 2021: There has been an overall increase of 1,445 square kilometers in forest and tree cover compared to the 2021 assessment. This comprises: Forest Cover: An increase of 156 square kilometers. Tree Cover: An increase of 1,289 square kilometers. Top States with Maximum Increase in Forest and Tree Cover: Chhattisgarh: 684 square kilometers. Uttar Pradesh: 559 square kilometers. Odisha: 559 square kilometers. Rajasthan: 394 square kilometers.
