This was part of a series of visual compositions called Drops from Nowhere. It was performed at the Bahai Auditorium in New Delhi in conjunction with the Goethe Institute in 2009. Some of the visual compositions were in complete silence while others with the piano. The relationship between music & visual is very complex. However the dominant relationship between film and music .has been one in which music has accompanied as well dominated the visual. Except in the silent film genre/pure cinema (cinema integrale) and marginally in the experimental realm, it has become inconceivable to imagine videos/ films without sound. Whereas in musical sensibility audio memory is engrained, it is difficult to imagine the same sensibility of visual memory –particularly as to abstract light and colour tonalities, rhythms, choreographies, melodies or harmonies.
