ABVP Protests 'Anti-National' Kashmir Event At Azim Premji University, 18 Detained After Vandalism

Tension erupted at Azim Premji University when around 20 ABVP activists barged in, vandalized property, and allegedly assaulted a student and security personnel during a protest against a discussion on the 1991 Kunan Poshpora mass rape. The activists damaged the university logo and blackened the nameboard outside the main gate before police arrived. Authorities took 18 protesters into preventive custody after nearly two hours and said a criminal case would be registered following a preliminary inquiry. Police reportedly had no prior knowledge of the incident until the video went viral.
