In December 2018, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and six other ministries jointly announced the recommended list for the fifth batch of Chinese traditional villages, and Tangshantou Village was proposed for inclusion. On June 6, 2019, official documentation confirmed the village's inclusion, marking national recognition of its historical features, traditional architecture, and intangible cultural heritage. Located in central Suichang County, approximately 15 kilometers from the county seat, the village is a typical mountain settlement in southwestern Zhejiang.
