Just when everyone thought they would take a break on this latest declining swell, Canoes turned out to be super fun at solid 1-2ft but good kine! Some of the groms that you usually see ripping at Queens surf break were here including: Mahina, Kalei, Makana, Zeke, Sean, and others surfing for hours on end because the conditions were so nice and surf was super fun! These groms surf in a group called the quaranteens808 which formed as the world had gone mad in 2020 and most kids were isolated at home starring a computer screen for school for 7 hours a day and when kids everywhere returned to school they were forced to wear and breathe through muzzle over their nose and mouth. However, the parents of these kids encouraged them to get out and surf more, which they did, and they got to be around their friends while staying healthy, exercising, breathing oxygen, getting vitamin D in the sun, and training to become professional surfers. Evening session: Then returning for evening session, Kalei was back in the water after eating some tacos! Her father told me she had been surfing since 8am in the morning. Amazing!
