I'm pleased to present this operation with the most requested aircraft... the Rafale. Our mission today is to achieve complete air superiority over an enemy AO, allowing the rest of our forces to strike their targets without any interference. We took off from a friendly airfield 130 miles from the border, protected by a Buk air defense system and an E2D AWACS. Therefore, we took two small fuel tanks to reach the required altitude, and our armament consisted of six Mica EM medium range Fox3s. two Mica IR medium-range Fox2s, and a Talios pod because the MoD lacks the electro-optical system found on the Rafale. There are three enemy patrols in the AO: One patrol consists of two Su-30K, armed with four R27ER Fox1s, two R27ET medium-range Fox 2, and four Archers, short-range Fox2. The other two patrols consist of two Su-27 each. Carrying two R27ER s, two R27ET, and two Archers. Despite being a Fox-1 missile, the R-27E has a longer range than the MICA, which makes it very dangerous. The patrols are deployed so that two are always protecting the third. The first su27 patrol is protecting a dam on the border, supported by SA-2, SA-3, and Pantsir air defense systems. The Su-30 patrol Is protecting an airfield 30 milrs from the dam, also supported by SA-2, SA-3, and Pantsir systems, in addition to two Early warning stations. The second su27 patrol, is protecting the right flank of the airport and the dam. I will begin by targeting the first su27 patrol protecting the dam. My plan is to fly indirectly within friendly territory, ensuring the patrol is on the gimble limit of my radar. I will keep the radar silent for as long as possible and rely on the data link from the awacs to determine the patrols' locations. If the patrol tries to intercept me, or when I'm 50 miles from the dam, I will lock them on and fly directly to attack. My jamming will delay their ability to lock onto me, thus negating the longer range of their missiles. My objective is to shoot them down as quickly as possible to avoid being completely surrounded by the other two patrols. The Rafale I'm playing is FR3D mod, and not an official DCS module. It's built on the Hornet, meaning it uses its avionics and features with some modifications. Finally, if you enjoyed the content, please consider subscribing.
