Funiculaire de Chaumont - Neuchâtel, Suisse

Riding up on the funiculaire from La Coudre (alt 517 m) to Chaumont (alt 1087 m), a total distance of 2102 metres and a rise in elevation of 570 metres. This funiculaire was opened in 1910. Just beside the Chaumont station is the 60 m high observation tower (built in 1912) which on clear days allows spectacular views to the lakes of Neuchâtel, Morat, and Bienne. So here goes: The station in La Coudre is at 47.008656 N Latitude and 6.960944 E Longitude and the terminus at the top in Chaumont is at 47.026649 N Latitude and 6.957526 E Longitude.
