We begin in Najaf, checking out from our hotel after a heartfelt group meeting led by Syed Musa Bukhari—my husband’s nephew—who shared vital arrangements for the walk to Karbala. 🚶‍♀️ With hearts full of love for Imam Hussein (AS), we joined millions of zaireen walking under the scorching 50°C sun. The path was lined with hundreds of mawakeb (camps) offering free food, water, medical aid, and boundless affection. The security and service were awe-inspiring, and the atmosphere—charged with unity and devotion—was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. 🕰️ After walking for 36 hours and covering nearly 50 km up to pole number 709, my body gave in. With bleeding feet and sheer exhaustion, I took a ride to Karbala. Even then, reaching my hotel—just 700 meters away—took another 3 hours due to the overwhelming crowd of 30 million pilgrims. 🏁 But the moment I freshened up, I headed straight to the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS), capturing the sacred energy and emotional intensity of this blessed city. This vlog is a tribute to every step taken in love, every tear shed in remembrance, and every soul united in the spirit of Arbaeen.
