A man who shattered the idols of his society, was thrown into a burning fire, and migrated, leaving everything behind. Allah described him as "an entire nation by himself." This is Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام—the Khalil of Allah, the close friend of the Most High. Before the Quran, there were other scriptures—all affirming the same message: the Oneness of Allah, submission to Him alone, worshiping no other deity. The Scrolls of Ibrahim contained this same truth, carried by a man who stood for Islam when there was no one else standing. He fulfilled every command with complete submission—even when commanded in a dream to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail. Father and son both submitted, knife at the neck, looking away. This is the essence of Islam: total surrender. We're not being asked to sacrifice our children. We're being asked to slaughter our desires. What have we sacrificed for this Islam? What have we truly submitted to Allah?
