Today at Parmida's Fashion School, I'm talking about how a trend starts in the fashion world. There is something called Trend Adaption Curve that divides into 5 different phases such as Introduction, Rise, Peak, Decline, and Rejection. In order for something to become trendy, new designs are purchased in smaller quantities and introduced at a higher price point. Prices are higher to prepare for potential loss of the item underperforms. Then, when the new designs are accepted by the consumer. New versions of less expensive material are purchased in larger quantities. This is when we say things are rising and becoming trendy in the fashion world.
