SOUNDBITE (English) Rachel Roberts, Product Manager, Samsung: "How many of you have missed important notifications because they got lost in a flood of alerts? Wouldn't it be nice if you could cut through that clutter and filter out the important things? Galaxy AI can now understand notifications on your screen to help with just that." 6. Improved Circle to Search demo 7. SOUNDBITE (English) Rachel Roberts, Product Manager, Samsung: "Starting with the Galaxy S26 series, the all new Samsung browser is partnering with Perplexity. So you'll be able to research faster with Ask AI, a powerful AI tool to help you do more while browsing." 8. SOUNDBITE (English) Paolo Pescatore, Founder & Analyst, PP Foresight: "AI is still not a sought-after feature amongst users, which again, you know, needs to be taken into account. And arguably, the most standout notable feature today is the privacy display. And that is something where, you know, it's going to be very hard to articulate, but you can see people saying, well, I really want that on my device. And being the first, that's going set the benchmark now for others." 9. Various privacy display demos ASSOCIATED PRESS London - 18 February 2026 10. Various privacy display demos during preview event ASSOCIATED PRESS San Francisco - 25 February 2026 11. SOUNDBITE (English) Paolo Pescatore, Founder & Analyst, PP Foresight: "Does it really move the needle in terms of major upgrades compared to the previous line-up? Very hard to say, it's a tough market, you know, devices, people are keeping them for a lot longer. Handing them down. So, look, it's all going to be about the execution. I'm not too sure how much AI is a real driver, and particularly the new nuances that we're seeing. Hence why I think there's going to be a lot more focus, really, on that kind of revolutionary new concept around the privacy display." 12. Price points and release dates unveiled STORYLINE: LEADIN Samsung is rolling out a new generation of flagship smartphones. The South Korean firm is hoping that smarter artificial intelligence and stronger privacy protections will tempt consumers to upgrade. STORYLINE Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup. They include expanded artificial intelligence features and introduce a new privacy tool designed to block prying eyes. The new phones arrive in stores on March 11 with price hikes of 10% to 13% on the base and mid-tier models. The standard Galaxy S26 will start at $899, while the S26 Plus will cost $1,099, both $100 more than last year’s versions. The high-end Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will remain at $1,299. Samsung is positioning AI as the headline attraction, describing the device as an “agentic AI phone” capable of acting as a multipurpose assistant that fetches information and content for users. The company continues to rely heavily on Google’s Gemini technology, while also adding an assistant from Perplexity. But the standout feature may be privacy, not AI. The S26 Ultra includes a built-in “Privacy Display” mode that limits screen visibility to only the person looking directly at it.
