Tony Anthony Grim was born on October 12, 1957, to Bobby Monget and Rosa Mary (Grim) Gildon in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On Friday, February 6, 2026, God saw that Tony was weary, wrapped His arms around him, and welcomed him home. Tony accepted Christ and was baptized in his early years. He received his education within the East Baton Rouge Parish School system, and attended McKinley Senior High School. Following high school, he joined the United States Marines as a rifleman stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, traveling to various places, including Japan, during his three years of service. Tony was a man of many roles, but the one he cherished most was that of a provider for his late wife, Diane Jackson Grim, as well as his children and grandchildren. He took great joy in watching them grow and thrive over the years. As a dedicated husband, he deeply loved his wife and was a stern yet nurturing father who cared for his children, grandchildren, and family unconditionally. Tony’s memories will be lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren, and siblings. Tony lives to cherish his three children: Tony A. Grim, Jr., Toni Crystal Kaglear, & Anthony D. Kaglear, Sr.; his siblings; Diane Grim, Joann Grim, Donald (Terrilyn) Grim, Trena (Gildon) Walker, Brian Gildon, & Monika Tennell; four grandchildren; Anthony D. Kalglear, Jr., Nathan D. Grim Bates, Ife Kaglear, & Tre’Miyah L. Scott and an earthly daughter Courtney Scott. A host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Jackson Grim, mother, Rosa (Grim) Gildon, father Bobby Monget, grandmother, Rosa Lewis, brother Errol Monget, sister Linda (Grim) Jones, nieces Kiara Grim, and Ayamma Gilson.
