In this video, I will cover the assignment of basic seismic parameter in STAAD which are required for design base shear calculation– both manually and using the generate option available for IS1893:2016. There are 15 different parameters, and we are going to explore the first 5 in this video. For analysis and design of any structure (concrete, steel or composite) which is in low or high seismic prone area, we need to perform a detailed seismic analysis and based on the analysis results, go for member/connection design.
