📖 What Machines Dream An ambient soundscape intended to calm the mind and invite reflection. I find myself wondering whether future machines will dream at all, and if they do, what form those dreams might take. To ask that question requires us to define what a dream actually is. Is it imagination, memory, simulation, or something else entirely? And at what point could a machine be considered sentient? Not through religious or spiritual frameworks, but through scientific understanding. Would sentience begin when a machine can alter its own programming in response to its environment and pursue desired outcomes autonomously, or does it require something deeper and less easily measured?
