Greetings my friends! Here is yet another installment of crazy calls from the Golden Era of Austin's ACTV (mid-90's). The usual gang of crazies are back and hopefully you'll enjoy yet another installment of laughs. The volume fluctuates a bit on this installment, so some recordings are louder than others. I tried to adjust it as best I could. I appreciate all the comments and feedback. These originated as underground recordings that we passed to traders and friends many years ago, and it's nice to have them see the light of day here on YouTube. Some of you have recognized your voices in the pranks, others have made requests for me to find footage of them. I will do my best to try and find what I can. I apologize for not responding to all comments, my account has been quirky on YouTube as of late. But I wanted to answer some general questions people have asked about these prank calls over time: 1) There were mainly 4 of us who made these calls, although a select few made their way into these recordings who weren't us at all. I simply threw a VHS tape into the VCR, hit "record", and let it run through the show. Then I would edit out the best bits we had during that evening's show. 2) Most of these shows were political talk shows, although there were some nutty ones too that aired late at night. "Catharsis", "The Old Biddie", "Clown Time", "Ask Lydia", etc. were some of the crazier late night shows. If you know anything about Austin, you know that there is a very *ahem*, eclectic group of people there. So, you can imagine some of the stranger calls we witnessed that didn't make these tapes! 3) These particular ACTV shows never had call screeners (until the later years). People called up, were put on hold by the call box, and the host released the call in real time once they wanted to take a call. 4) Austin had channels 10, 11, and 16. These were all Public Access channels. Unfortunately they are pretty much defunct today, which is a shame, as they offered a lot of creativeness, out-of-the-box thinking and productions, and all kinds of interesting programming that mainstream TV wouldn't touch. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the latest batch of laughs. As always, some are hit-or-miss, but hopefully it will bring a chuckle to your day. Enjoy my friends!! Scrotum, nipple, penis.
