Squid are an incredible Puget Sound creature. They also happen to be on the menu for the animals at the Skansie Visitor & Interpretice Center. Join Science Specialist Stena in this Facebook LIVE lesson featuring a squid dissection. Supplies: If you can get unprocessed market squid from the grocery store, awesome! (We get a big box from the Northern Fish Co) While we feed ours to the animals in the aquarium, you're welcome to try out some calamari recipes. Can't get your hands on squid? No problem - draw what you see! Pencil Paper Optional: Squid Scissors Tray/plate -- We are in this together! Every week, Harbor WildWatch will offer three free, educational videos. These videos will be a combination of livestreams and pre-recorded workshops that explore our natural environment, provide STEM learning opportunities, and offer activity ideas for at-home learning. Tune into our Facebook and YouTube channels on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to catch our biologists providing fun educational videos for all ages. Note that a Facebook account is not required to view any videos on Facebook.
