**A lot of people seem to ignore the description and simply assume these are 6400NA. Despite the fact they're similar, these are NOT 6400NA. These were modded in 2013, a year before 6400NA came out (2014)...unless this was a prototype installation...** One of the many original elevators in the mall itself...now Schindlerized. Back in 2013, the elevators in this mall (including this one), received a major overhaul from Schindler. For a majority of the elevators in the mall, this went through the means of upgrading not only the fixtures, but also the controller as well. This is all part of the TXPress modernization package from Schindler (6400NA came out in 2014). Although it would have been nice to see the original OTIS systems, this seems like a step up from the original systems, especially in a busy mall environment. Now compared to the rest of the mall, it isn't the most spectacular elevator here, so I didn't spend too much time filming it. However, it's still a neat one to ride! This is the single elevator that is towards the east side of the mall, close to neighboring Greyrock Place. You may notice this elevator only goes up to the 4th floor. This particular elevator serves the three parking levels, and the mall itself. In addition, the street entrance on this side is on *2, so it brings people up from there as well. This elevator is right outside the Security office on the 4th floor, so it's a little tricky to film. The mall itself it built above three semi-underground parking levels. Further upwards, there are parking structures that surround the mall, almost like a "sandwich." Not in this part, here. If you notice on the elevator, there is a full picture window on the side of the elevator. Believe it or not, I believe this elevator has corner mounted guiderails. This means what's implied, the guiderails are mounted on the corners of the cab as opposed to the traditional side mount method, freeing up space for that window. Another unusual feature is the dual speed doors in the center; it doesn't seem like there would be enough space for typical center opening doors. As you will see, this is still the original OTIS car, as indicated by the OTIS track, the original capacity place, and a plate to cover up the original indicator (not shown). Also, the elevator still has the original OTIS interlocks and motor. When this elevator was modernized,, the interior was overhauled from the original laminate green, the controller was upgraded, and the fixtures were upgraded. The particular fixtures of choice are MADD fixtures, with Caesar on the inside and Vandal Resistant flush indicators on the inside as well. On the outside (not shown), are Gilda Retrofit call panels. Take a look at this product guide: http://www.madfixtures.com/files/supp... Here's what the elevator was originally like, before the modernization (video from CVE9120): • Видео Location Info: Opened in 1982, this mall is right in the heart of Downtown Stamford, serving as a major shopping destination for the city. There's three levels of shopping, and the mall is anchored by Macy's, Barnes and Noble, and soon to be Saks Off 5th. This mall attracts people from not only the Fairfield County region of Connecticut, but many people from the New York Metropolitan area as well (you might have seen videos of this place from some of these people). To give you an idea, this part of Connecticut is not only part of New England, but also part of the New York Metropolitan area.
