Started off at Southampton Central with an intermodal passing through before heading west, but things didn’t go quite to plan. Our train got cut short at Westbury due to delays, so we hung around there for a bit but caught a few nice shed units before moving on to Bristol. Eventually we made it to Bristol Temple Meads where it was 36°C and absolutely packed with festival goers? GBRf's 57303 sporting the "Martin House" charity headboard brought the tour in and shortly after, the 60 took off light loco to Bristol East Depot ready for the stars of the show - double headed 56s, 56103 from DC Rail and 56113 in Colas Rail livery (Last minute replacement for 049) They absolutely screamed out of Temple Meads with huge clag and ear splitting turbo sounds. We then jumped on an IET and headed straight for Reading in hopes of catching them again, but ended up getting bowled at the last moment.
