Likoni Road Nairobi was among the projects initiated by the 4th president of Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta for expansion and transformation of it to a dual carriage. With Cementers as the main contractor to work on the road that meets Enterprise road and also Shreeji Road as part of the project, the road has taken an ultimate record of less than 2 years to be completed compared to other projects allocated to Kenya Companies who also do similar projects. Although the road has a few touches remaining, the Kenya Urban Roads Authority and Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) have already opened the road for use. This has reduced the traffic jam and traffic flow within the city of Nairobi.
