An entire week would pass before his parents, Doreen and Dale Robie, and the rest of the village would get any answers. Derrick was only four years old. He had been lured away from the path he was walking and brutally beaten, choked and killed. Everyone in the community struggled to understand how anyone could impose such violence on an innocent child.
