A farmer shares his journey of cultivating a small experimental patch of sunflowers into a vibrant 9-acre bird sanctuary that blooms throughout the season, offering sanctuary to birds and joy to the community. This is one of our favorite stories. Filmed a number of years ago, I saw a farmer's field that contained a patch of blooming sunflowers, and I had to stop.
