On this very special day, Porter commences their expansion westwards to Vancouver (YVR). The airline has recently taken a large step in redefining the economy experience with its brand-new Embraer E195-E2 jets. These first few flights for the airline: (February 1st - YYZ-YOW/YUL | Feb 7th - YYZ-YVR) marked the first ever commercial jet-operated flights for Porter, and the launch of the E195-E2 commercial operations in North America.) The motto behind the ordeal is to "actuallyenjoyeconomy." With the commencement of operations onboard the new jets, comes a new type of service for Porter - PorterReserve. These are the highest available options and include an Extra (36 in) of Legroom, 46.5 cm (18.3 in) of seat width, and up to (6 in) in-seat recline. The fare includes [Experience the difference with extra legroom while you enjoy] a free healthy meal, snacks, and premium wine and liquor.] The PorterReserve seats are the first 4 rows (16 seats) on the aircraft. The airline also has other fare options that include PorterClassic Stretch (20 seats - Rows 5-7 and exit rows 13 & 14), with an Extra (34 in) in legroom, 46.5 cm (18.3 in) in seat width, and Up to (4 in) in seat recline. Also, a "basic" fare PorterClassic. This includes (96 seats - Rows 8-10, 15-33), Standard Legroom (30 in), 46.5 cm (18.3 in) in seat width, and Up to (2 in) in seat recline. Meals and Drink service are complementary with the PorterReserve fare, whilst purchasable for the PorterClassic fares. Breakfast is available on flights departing before 10:30 AM, and Lunch/Dinner service is available on flights departing after 10:30 AM. The airline boasts a service that includes Free High-Speed WiFi, In-seat power connectivity, Free In-flight entertainment, and no middle seats. A worthy note: the WiFi is unlimited for those who log into their Porter VIP account.
