George Frideric Handel's Concerto Grosso in B-flat major, Op. 3, No. 1 (HWV 312) is the first of six concertos in his Opus 3 collection, published in 1734 by John Walsh. It is widely considered one of Handel's earliest concertos, likely composed years before its compilation. The work is distinctive for its instrumentation and tonal shifts. Unlike typical concertos of the era, only the first movement remains in the tonic key of B-flat major, while the subsequent movements shift to the relative minor. The first and probably earliest concerto of the set is scored for two recorders, two oboes, two bassoons, strings (with divided viola), and continuo. It is unusual in that only its first movement is in the tonic key of B-flat major—the other two are in the relative minor, G minor. 00:00 1. Allegro 04:19 2. Largo 12:21 3. Allegro
