DRAMA: THE LIVING FAITH A life of faith is a life sold out to seeking God first in all matters of life and godliness.It is a life lived on nothing more than the promises of God through the Bible and our belief in Jesus Christ. Hence, one must regularly be in relationship with God to live a life of faith. Hebrews chapter 11 is a record of “a cloud of witnesses” that lived their lives on the promises of God, and today we have their lives as models for us to live to please the Lord; Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. NASU” The Book of Hebrews chapter 11 gives a list of people whose life characterized the kind of faith we are talking about, and we are even much better than these saints because live under a better covenant. While some of these heroes of faith ended their lives on earth gloriously, some others ended their lives in what people would refer to as inglorious ending but before God, they are recognized equally as heroes of faith. This implies for us that how a man/woman of faith transits to glory is not as important as the kind of life s/he lives while on earth. Little wonder the Apostle Paul says, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil. 1:21).
