wanted the gold magic system, but was a lot more than i wanted to spend. i didn't know if it really worked. so i ordered the pan, hub,and cup from goldmagic.com ($55.94 with shipping) and built the rest myself. so yes it really works, total cost for DIY project was under $100. spent about 3 hours making it. used 70 inches of 1 inch square tubing ($12). junkyard driver side window motor w/ bracket ($5) 2001 ford f150. 2 ballast resistors from autozone to control speed (3 speeds) ($15ish). tested it with 3 different paydirts from ebay. took a little while to play with speed and angle of the pan , but was impressed with their design and how well it worked. i ran the tailings again and then panned them. the gold magic pan caught t all the gold.
